A Passion for Vision Care: It’s a Family Affair

“I grew up working in the office and watching my father practice. I was assembling paper charts and filing by the time I knew my alphabet. At age 10, I was calling patients to confirm appointments. In high school, I was already helping patients—checking vision, pupils, pressure, and refractions. I worked every summer in high school and college. After college, I worked full time in the office for 1.5 years and became a certified ophthalmic assistant and continued to medical school to become an ophthalmologist myself. Fast-forward 10 years—This is a true homecoming for me to return to Jacksonville and a lifelong dream to work alongside my father doing what we both love doing, which is taking care of people and providing better vision.”
